I use a simple blood test called the Mediator Release Test (MRT®) to identify which foods are causing inflammation in your body, and which foods aren’t. MRT evaluates your body’s response to 170 foods and chemicals, telling you which ones trigger a release of inflammatory mediators like IgG, IgM, IgA, cytokines, histamine, interleukins, and others. These are the chemicals that cause inflammation and the debilitating symptoms you experience.
MRT measures the total quantity of all inflammatory mediators that are released in response to each food or chemical. Each food/chemical is then categorized as non-reactive (green), moderately reactive (yellow), or highly reactive (red). MRT is the only test that quantifies your inflammatory response in this way.
Unlike food diaries or elimination diets that can be inconclusive and make it nearly impossible to link all offending foods with your negative reactions, MRT takes the guesswork out of identifying your worst offenders and gets you on a fast track to symptom elimination and healing.
